As peças são inspiradas em quatro obras-primas do pintor holandês, como “Caveiras”, “Amendoeira em Flor”, “Girassóis” e o autorretrato de Van Gogh.

So I've just noticed the new collection from Vans x Van Gogh. So a range of trainers, clothes and accessories with Van Gogh prints on. What do people think of this? Me personally I love these collections, like the Dr Martens artist ranges (Turner, Bosch etc) as I think it brings art to a new level. It's become valuable in a liveable way, and whether someone gets the product because they like Van Gogh or just the print, it's still appreciating the art in a different way. I dislike that people can become clouded when it comes to art. They like a piece of artwork only because of the name, or the movement. I love the Pre-Raphaelites but that does not mean I'm going to like every single artist and painting linked to them. It's ok if you do but I find it can come across snobbish to be so biased about art, rather than just appreciating the work. It could be a JMW Turner, or something an art student has done recently, I take every piece as it is, rather than the label given to it. This is the way art historians need to be – open minded, unbiased and a lover of all art. Oh and these are the exact ones I'm going to get once the collection goes on sale. I love to wear art. #art #history #arthistory #artforeveryone #vans #vangogh #vansxvangogh #vangoghmuseum #wearableart #livingart #unbiasedview #openminded #drmartens
